Welcome to the Village of Strum
Tid-Bit of our History - The village was settled in the mid-1800's by Norwegian immigrants as a trading post. The immigrants were attracted to the area because of the rolling hills and deep valleys which reminded them of southern Norway. Strum officially became a village in 1948.
Strum is located along the gorgeous Buffalo River, aka "The Beef River" and has roughly 40 acres of park land! The village has a beautiful 9-hole golf course and a 42-site campground right off Crystal Lake; the lake is a wonderful recreational spot for no-wake boating, kayaking, canoeing and year around fishing. Come enjoy our soccer, baseball and softball fields, volleyball and pickleball courts, playgrounds and picnic areas within our parks; walk one of the Community Trails located at the Rod & Gun or hop on the Buffalo River Recreation Trail for a ride. And don't forget to check out the locally owned businesses and shops in the downtown area.
We look forward to your visit! For more History of the Village of Strum visit our History Page
